i went to watch the movie musical "Hairspray" yesterday.... and it was.... FANTASTIC!!! i mean i didn't really expect much from the movie but it gave so much laughter, melody, dance and downright FUN!! I'm soo looking for the soundtrack of the movie.
The plot is about a plus-sized girl, Tracy Turnbald(sp??) , played by newcomer Nikki Blonsky, who makes it to the Corny Collins Show, one of the most popular TV shows in their town of Baltimore in the 1960s. She soon becomes an on-air sensation, much to the disapproval of the leading dancer in the show, Amber von Tussle. Link Larkin (Zac Efron), Amber's boyfriend, begins to fall for the lovable Tracy. Soon, all turns havoc when Tracy, joins Motormouth Maybelle (Queen Latifah) in a riot for racial equality. Now in trouble with the police, will Tracy ever make it to the Ms Hairspray pageant??
TO me, this movie is a fun-filled one, which will bring you on a musical journey with your family and friends. it is a must watch! 5 stars... =D
