omg... the thought of getting braces soon is both inviting and frightening. The good part is that i get to have nice teeth, as well as discipline myself on keeping my teeth healthy, after the metals come off. However, the bad part is that i have to pull out FOUR teeth... i must be lucky that it's all pre-molars and not molars but having to fear even a simple cleaning by the dentist, you can imagine how horrifying the thought of extracting 4 teeth is to me...
well coming to the topic, i realised that many pple r willing to forgo the pain and suffering that they hv to go through to achieve the society's ideal image of beautiful. as for me, i 'm doing braces coz my front teeth kinda jut out a little bit. I'm lucky that it's not very obvious but bad enough to prevent me from closing my mouth without effort. what's crazy to me is that alt braces result in pain, loss of time and money, its so popular nowadays that saying braces is a way to make u pretty is more like an understatement. braces have become a FASHION assesscory complete with different colours and for some, even shapes and sizes....
